The Friends in Solidarity Education Committee and FiS President, Sister Mūmbi Kīgūtha, CPPS, will host “HOPE Away from Home in South Sudan” Thursday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Sister Mūmbi will be talking with Fr. Mike Bassano, MM, who recently finished 10 years of pastoral ministry at the UN Protection of Civilians camp in Malakal, South Sudan. Prior to his time in South Sudan, Fr. Mike also ministered in Chile, Thailand, and Tanzania.
Fr. Tom Tiscornia, MM, former Solidarity with South Sudan member and FiS board member, and Fr. David Schwinghamer, MM, former board member of the Africa Faith and Justice Network, will also share their experiences with refugees. The webinar is free, but registration is required. Register now
