A native of South Sudan, Francis Nyawello Chan came to the United States as a refugee 15 years ago from Beirut, Lebanon. Deacon Chan worked for the State of Iowa DHS Bureau of Refugee Services as a case manager and refugee specialist for 14 years. He is an ambassador for his home country of South Sudan. His current ministry is refugee ministry coordinator with the Catholic Diocese of Des Moines, Iowa. Register now
