Ten Years of Impactful Catholic Ministry Work in South Sudan
Miracle of miracles! Solidarity is celebrating 10 years of presence in South Sudan. To commemorate the occasion, Solidarity members gathered at the Good Shepherd Peace Center in Kit, a few kilometers from Juba, to tell the story and reflect upon the meaning of this ministry.
Members were joined by the Associate Director, Sr. Yudith Pereira-Rico and Board President, Fr. Paul Smith, both from Rome and Sr. Joan Mumaw, IHM, Director of Friends in Solidarity, the US partner to Solidarity with South Sudan. The Executive Director, Br. Bill Firman, FSC, hosted the gathering and welcomed the members and guests.
The latest Newsletter from the Good Shepherd Peace Center notes this event along with several other events taking place at the Center. Solidarity members Sr Annette St. Amour, IHM and Fr Manny Ginete are team members at the Center.
