Catholic Bishops of South Sudan Make Appeal for Humanitarian Aid

The Catholic Bishops of South Sudan are making an urgent appeal for humanitarian assistance to that war-torn country in which 750,000 people are facing famine.

With the country’s civil war ongoing, South Sudan remains under harsh conditions of extreme violence. This includes fighting perpetrated by government and opposition forces against civilians.

South Sudan also is experiencing famine, insecurity and economic hardship.
